Tamworth Castle

Paranormal Investigation

2003

Baseline Readings 26-06-2003

On 26th June 2003 two members of the investigation team carried out a second set of baseline readings at Tamworth Castle. On this occasion temperature readings were taken in all the rooms open to the public. This consisted of using a laser thermometer to take measurements in four directions (North, South, East & West) to record any potential changes in temperature due to draughts.

Care was taken not to take any measurements from windows as they could be affected by direct sunlight, therefore giving a less accurate reading. Some of the rooms on the second floor of the northwest block are however glass fronted, to enable the public to view the rooms during the Victorian era. Where temperature readings have had to be taken on the glass the readings have been suffixed with a ‘G’
